New eLearning Course Provides Basic Knowledge on AI

Since 1st August 2024, the new EU regulation on Artificial Intelligence (AI Act) has been in effect. The obligations set out in the AI Act for providers and operators of AI systems generally do not apply immediately but will come into force in two years' time. However, there is an exception regarding training obligations, which will apply from 2nd February 2025. Article 4 of the AI Act states:

Providers and deployers of AI systems shall take measures to ensure, to their best extent, a sufficient level of AI literacy of their staff and other persons dealing with the operation and use of AI systems on their behalf […].

According to Recital 20 of the AI Act, AI competence should help make informed decisions about AI systems and understand how decisions made using AI will impact affected individuals. Additionally, knowledge should be imparted to ensure appropriate compliance and proper enforcement of the AI Act.

To fulfil this legal obligation, we have developed two eLearning courses for you:
First, we offer a basic course that provides employees involved with artificial intelligence with sufficient fundamental knowledge about the use of AI in the company, the associated risks, and the principles regulated in the AI Act.
Secondly, we have created an eLearning course specifically for project managers, which goes into detail about the documentation, information, and registration obligations associated with the use of artificial intelligence and describes how these can be practically implemented.
